Events & activations
What types of events do you work with?
We work with brand activations, launches, cultural events, private events, curated pop-ups and other experiences.
Can CipherX provide staff for the event?
Yes. CipherX can provide trained staff and the equipment required to operate the Microdot Tattoo experience on-site.
How many people can you serve?
Typical capacity is around 50–150 tattoo applications per day, depending on staffing, event format and operating hours.
What do you need at the venue?
Requirements depend on the event, but typically include:
- Approximately 2 m² of indoor operating space
- A small table and suitable seating
- Reliable internet or mobile connectivity
- Room-temperature conditions and adequate ventilation
- Sufficient space to manage participant flow
We will confirm exact requirements with you before the event.
How far in advance should we plan?
We recommend contacting us at least 5–6 weeks in advance, particularly where custom designs or larger quantities are required.
Can we use a custom tattoo design?
Yes. Custom designs can be developed for campaigns, brands and event concepts, subject to design suitability.
Retail & long-term partnerships
What kinds of partners do you work with?
We are interested in working with retailers, tattoo studios, venues and other businesses that want to offer Microdot Tattoos on a recurring basis.
Can our staff apply Microdot Tattoos?
Microdot Tattoos must be applied by trained operators. For suitable partners, CipherX can provide training and operating procedures.
Can we order tattoos in bulk?
Yes. We can support recurring and higher-volume orders depending on the partnership and expected demand.
Are minimum quantities required?
Minimum quantities depend on the partnership model, designs, and expected volume. We will discuss this with you as part of the initial enquiry.
Can we offer our own designs?
Yes. Partners can use existing CipherX designs or work with us to develop suitable custom designs.
Do you support partners outside the UK?
Not yet. Our partnership offering is currently limited to the UK, but we are working to expand internationally.
If you are based outside the UK, you are still welcome to register your interest so we can keep you updated as new markets become available.
Custom tattoos for your brand
What designs are possible?
Microdot Tattoos are currently best suited to small, relatively simple designs within a maximum diameter of approximately 15 mm.
Designs with strong shapes, limited fine detail and minimal shading generally translate best.
How does the design process work?

How long does a custom design take?
We recommend allowing approximately 5–6 weeks from design approval to delivery. Timing may vary depending on design complexity and quantity.

Pricing depends on the design work, quantity and how the tattoos will be used. Tell us about your project and we can provide a proposal.
General questions
Are Microdot Tattoos safe?
Microdot patches use single-use components and undergo gamma irradiation. We also operate eligibility, consent and aftercare processes.
Can people apply the tattoos themselves?
No. Microdot Tattoos must currently be applied by trained operators.
Are there restrictions on who can receive a Microdot Tattoo?
Yes. Tattoos are only applied to eligible adults and approved body locations. Age verification and completion of our consent process are required.
Who handles shipping and logistics?
This depends on the partnership. For events, we coordinate the operational requirements with you. For retail and ongoing partnerships, logistics and supply arrangements are agreed as part of the partnership setup.
