Ferdinand Kohle, PhD
CEO & Co-Founder
Ferdinand is a materials scientist, designer and entrepreneur working at the intersection of science, engineering and product design. He holds a PhD in Materials Science from Cornell University and a master's in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London. His work has spanned nanomaterials, pharmaceuticals and the development of new technologies for the human body. A lifelong aversion to needles and blood led Ferdinand to ask whether interacting with skin could be done differently — an idea that became the starting point for CipherX.
